Oakland Rumors

• The Oakland Athletics are shopping newly acquired 1B George Nelson. They probably
  traded for him because of his age compared to Barton. Trenton could be a possible suitor.
• Oakland is also shopping highly regarded prospect John Fair. They're looking for a young, MLB ready starter, somebody like Edmund Tovares or Marcus Pernas.
• With long-term extension of Alan Peel, Oakland won't be looking for a closer in a long, long time.
• Oakland is also shopping Nomar Garcia, Melky Cabrera, Fautino De Los Santos, Reid Brignac, and Warren Smith.
